Background
I have been working in the OHSE field for more than 20 years with a wealth of experience in many high risk industries including construction, farming, food manufacturing, concrete manufacturing, quarrying, and mining, covering all of New Zealand. I started working as a nurse completing my training in 1975 and proceeded to extend my knowledge by undertaking the Pharmacy Technicians Certificate completing this in 1981. Over the years I have continued to extend my knowledge base by undertaking multiple courses, formal qualifications such as a post grad Diploma in Health (Case Management), and a Masters in Occupational Health, Safety, Environment in 2011. I am a registered Health and Safety Professional and an Accredited Safety Auditor. I was recognised by industry and awarded the New Zealand Health and Safety Professional of the Year in 2012.
