Clare Lynn

Background

Clare Lynn holds a position as a Practice Leader for theHealth & Wellbeing Team, across Fonterra NZ Operations, and is based the Manawatu region.

Clare is a registered nurse with over twenty years’ experience in the occupational health field, and post graduate qualifications in occupational health & safety. Her current leadership role has a shared responsibility to develop and optimise Fonterra’s Health & Wellbeing Programmes; serving as an Occupational Health Subject Matter Expert, and a People Leader for Fonterra Occupational Health Nurses based in the Lower North Island and the South Island.  She has led several major projects including a  fit for purpose 'Risk-based periodic health monitoring'  new programme across all Fonterra sites within New Zealand. 

Previous work experience has included a Clinical Quality Leadership role with the MidCentral District Health Board, and as a Director of her own Occupational Health Company for over seven years.

She is passionate about improving our national occupational health capabilities in today’s changing workplace health, safety and wellbeing climate.  She  has recently returned to the NZOHNA Executive Team in a role as Co-Vice President (Acting) role. Clare has been instrumental in strengthening NZOHNA standards, such as the introduction of the NZOHNA Knowledge & Skills Framework (2016) and being part of a project team who undertook a comprehensive review of the NZOHNA Strategy (2020).  Clare is currently representing NZOHNA on the AS/NZ Standards SF001 Occupational Health & Safety Committee. 

Over the last 5 years, Clare has presented at NZOHNA and similar occupational health & wellbeing national conferences.
