Background

I have been involved in the construction industry for over 30 years, first as a carpenter supervising work teams and then 18 years as a HSW practitioner.

Over the last 5 years, I have held a health and safety managers role which along with the core risk management, investigation and communication skills developed as an advisor has supported the development of simple health, safety and management systems, policies and procedures.

Working in a national role with a fulltime HS team on projects across New Zealand, with a focus on working with a large number of contractors and national clients within the dairy and food manufacturing industry.

I am an active member of the New Zealand Institute of Safety Management (NZISM), and I hold a Diploma in Health & Safety management.
