Background

Over my 30 years of working in Occupational Health and Safety, I have worked as a manager/advisor within the electricity generation, metals manufacture, sawmilling and wood processing, gas transmission, agrichemical manufacture and oil and gas processing. Within this timeframe I also spent periods as a consultant/advisor exposing me to yet further industries including public health, public housing, engineering and dairy.
I am currently in my sixth year as a WorkSafe Class A Asbestos Assessor and have extensive knowledge of exposure monitoring within the ocuupational health area. I am an ex ACC WSMP auditor and ex member of NZQA. I am currently a member of the New Zealand Occupational Hygiene Society (NZOHS) and a member of the American Conference of Governmental industrial Hygienists (ACGHI).
I have an extensive network within Occupational Health and Safety from fellow consultants, complementary businesses, suppliers, laboratories etc. 

I take a pragmatic approach to my advice and support of a client. There are minimum requirements to meet but as each industry and business is different it is important to understand how the business works, and the level of engagement for workers. I work with people, not at people. 

I am based in Taranaki but can be convinced to work outside of the region.
