Nadine is a qualified and registered Occupational Hygienist. Her experience and competency extends across various business sectors including manufacturing, petrochemical, mining, steel fabrication, construction, corporate businesses, governmental institutions, and projects.
Over the extend of her career, she has worked as an Occupational Hygiene Specialist, Health and Wellness champion and Occupational Health and Safety consultant. As part of these functions, she provided expert services and advice both as an external consultant and in-house resource to manufacturing and mining businesses in South Africa and New Zealand.
The experience gained, while rendering specialized services to diverse establishments, enabled her to expand and master the skills of developing, implementation, interpreting, and training of Occupational Hygiene management programs pertaining to chemical, physical, psychological, Health & Safety and legislative aspects.
Such management programs include risk assessments, monitoring of workplace exposures, determining psychological and health and safety risks pertaining to communicable and chronic diseases including Fatigue management and HIV/AIDs, providing training and feedback to entry-level workers and top management, financial implications and guidance, statistical calculation and interpretation of data, implementing aspects of a SANS/ISO 17020 Quality Management Systems for Approved Inspection Authorities.
Since moving to New Zealand, Nadine has not only joined the Occupational Hygiene professional sector, but she has also worked as a Health and Safety Advisor-Chemical Management, focusing on chemical / hazardous substance compliance and safety.
