Michael Tate MNZOHS

Background

Michael is a consulting occupational hygienist experienced in planning, managing and undertaking a wide variety of workplace exposure assessments across many industries throughout New Zealand.

With over 12 years combine experience in the health and safety, and environmental fields Michael's assessment experience includes inhalable and respirable dusts (silica, wood, SMF, lead); fume (diesel, welding), mists (acids, oils), gases (Acetylene, carbon monoxide, carbon dioxide, oxide of nitrogen, sulphur dioxide, hydrogen sulphide, ozone), organic solvent and other vapours, microbes (bacteria, fungi/mould), heat, vibration, noise and indoor air quality.   

Michael began his career as a field technician for a stack testing company in the USA which lead him into air quality science and the occupational hygiene field. Michael is passionate about protecting workers health and is committed to providing practical and effective advice.
