Background

I am a driven individual with an inquisitive mindset. I have worked on one of the most extensive Major Hazard Facilities in New Zealand, managing Health and Safety for nearly 600 FTEs. I have excellent interpersonal skills, having collaborated with high unionised workforces. I have assisted in planning and managing up to 1000 contractors for two scheduled maintenance outages.

I have provided support in auditing and reviewing, designing, and integrating health and safety management systems for SMEs and larger corporate entities. I have completed machine guarding reviews and undertaken investigations with over 35 years of investigative experience.

I have completed culture-based review and integration work and undertaken extensive reviews for large corporate clients. I have been an expert witness reviewing a complex investigation for a large corporate client and providing written evidence in statement form.

My main driver is preventing harm to people who, in my opinion, are the workforce’s biggest asset. I am always looking to expand my knowledge and learn and have completed safety in design work in the waste industry sector, an incredible piece of work as part of a team trying to design risk out of work processes throughout the life of an asset.

I pride myself on my attention to detail and energy to get work done to the highest possible standard. I have worked with some extraordinary people and believe the five strengths identified in the Gallup Strengths Finder survey have given me a solid foundation they were, Achiever, Competition, Consistency, Restorativeand Empathy.
