Background

Laura has occupational hygiene experience in many types of industry and business's nationwide including manufacturing, oil and gas, mining, transport, quarries etc. 

Her expertise covers Workplace Risk (exposure) Assessments including asbestos, chemicals, gases, noise, solvents, heat stress, indoor air quality, diesel fume both respirable and inhalable dust including silica, SMF/MMMF wood dust, heavy metals including lead and mercury and more!

As a Occupational Hygienist her focus is on providing clients with the information needed to keep workers healthy and safe by providing quality, timely assessments.  Current clients include both private and public sectors from large corporate organisations to smaller family run owner operator business's. 

Laura is also the General Manager of Dowdell and Associates Ltd of which she has a team of consultants and IANZ accredited asbestos identification and fibre count laboratory. She is also the Secretary of the NZ Consulting Laboratories Association.
