Toniette Salt
Background
Toniette Salt has been a safety professional for over 20 years, evolving from a machine operator and achieved Chartered Member of IOSH (CMIOSH) in 2007. She became a member of the New Zealand Safety Council and achieved Registered Safety Professional (RSP) and Accredited Safety Auditor (ASA) in 2010 and Certified Lead Safety Auditor in 2019.
She has served as a NZSC board member since 2012.
Toniette has a Bachelor of Engineering with Honours (BEng Hons) in manufacturing (1997) which has been complimented by the NEBOSH Diploma in Occupational Health and Safety (2005) and Specialist Diploma in Environmental Management (2007).
Toniette has worked in a variety of industries in both UK and NZ which include Distribution, Manufacturing (Engineering, Steel and Printing), Construction (Infrastructure and Residential), Power (Electrical Generation, Transmission/Distribution and Gas installations), and Prison/Probation Service. Her current role is Head of Health and Safety Manager with Auckland Unlimited.
Previous roles include Downer, Electrix, Steelpipe, Hawkins, Fletcher Living and Fisher & Paykel Appliances.
