Background

Sage Robinson is an Occupational Hygienist and Director of Safe and Sound Solutions Occupational Hygiene division. Occupational hygienists use science and technology to measure worker exposures, assess worker risks and develop controls to improve the workplace environment. Sage specializes in the Anticipation, Recognition, Evaluation, Communication and Control of workplace factors that can affect the health of workers.

He has a wealth of knowledge from the petrochemical and semiconductor industries where he specialised in personal safety and environmental compliance and has significant experience in the control and monitoring of hazardous material, having served as the hazardous materials manager of several multinational companies. Sage completed his Ph.D. in organic and analytical chemistry from the University of Otago and a Level 8 Graduate Certificate in Workplace health and safety from the University of Newcastle. He is a member of the New Zealand Occupational Hygiene Society (NZOHS) and an elected member of the NZOHS council as well as a Professional member of the New Zealand Institute of Safety Management.
