After graduating as a Physiotherapist, I worked in both private practice and rehabilitation settings. I quickly became interested in how my client’s occupation affected their injury, and in some situations, contributed to their injury. This lead me to further training in Occupational Health.
A healthy work environment is important to overall well being. There are many tools available to ensure that both the worker, and the workplace are safe and productive. I enjoy working closely with clients and employers to ensure the rehabilitation needs are met and the return to work goals are safe and sustainable.
Through my training and knowledge of physical rehabilitation, I am able to develop functional strengthening programmes that are specific to the return to work goals.
Reducing workplace injury can be achieved through a workplace and ergonomic assessments, along with manual handling training, and education regarding posture and movement patterns. I have successfully provided training for some of the largest employers in the Bay of Plenty region.
I would love to work with more businesses in the Bay of Plenty region to reduce the incidence of workplace injury.
Please contact me if you have any questions, and I am happy help.
