Sarita is a co-director of Bedrock Solutions Ltd (Director - Health and Safety). Bedrock Solutions has been in business since 2003 and specializes in the formulation of improvement strategies to create solid business infrastructure by aligning people, policy and process. Consulting services are provided in auditing, assessments, training and process improvements to keep a company on track with their business objectives.
Sarita has developed and delivered competency based health and safety training for a number of companies nationally. She has also developed and delivered gazetted learning resources such as the Stages One and Two Approved Health and Safety Representatives courses. Over the last seven years, Sarita has facilitated public workshops nationally on a range of health and safety related topics (Role of Health and Safety Representatives; Preparing for your Health and Safety Audit; Contractor Management; Accident Reporting and Investigation; Health and Safety Management Systems Auditing; Health and Safety at Work Act 2015; Understanding Risk)
Sarita was an ACC Approved Auditor for the Workplace Safety Management Practices (WSMP) programme from 2005 till February 2017. She has also completed training in the Exemplar Global accredited AS/NZS 4801 Lead Auditor, ISO 9001 Requirements and Risk Management – Principles and Assessment Techniques.
Sarita has achieved Graduate Level with the New Zealand Institute of Safety Management (NZISM) Professional Membership Grading system and is currently working to achieve Certified level. In addition to a Bachelor of Chemical Technology degree, Sarita also hold a Post-Graduate Diploma in Occupational Health and Safety from Massey University; National Certificate in Adult Education and Training (Level 5) from Tai Poutini Polytechnic and a Certificate in Adult Teaching from the Christchurch College of Education. She is also a member of the New Zealand Association for Training and Development (NZATD) and served as the Canterbury Branch Treasurer. Sarita has also served on the NZISM Canterbury Branch as Secretary (2006 - 2011), Branch Manager (2011 - 2015) and has been part of the NZISM Operations Committee since 2015.
In terms of community involvement, Sarita completed her 12 years as a Parent Representative on the Villa Maria College (2010 - 2016) and St Peter's School (2004 - 2010) Boards of Trustees. She is an active Rotarian and served as the District Governor for Rotary International District 9970 (Upper South Island New Zealand) overseeing 32 clubs and 1200 members in 2017 - 2018.
