Evette McClure

Background

Evette is the Head of the Advisory team at HazardCo. She has 10 years’ industry experience, comprehensive knowledge of NZ Health and Safety legislation and guidelines, a Diploma in Occupational Health and Safety (NZ), and is a Graduate member of NZISM. She has experience across the general construction industry with particular knowledge in residential construction and associated sub-trades.

Evette’s extensive experience in hazard and risk management, employee participation, pre-qualification, health and safety policies and procedures, training, and incident management allows her to provide simple and effective health and safety advice to a wide range of people, from managers to tradies on-site. 

Much of Evette’s expertise is used to contribute to the development and content of new HazardCo products and systems, including the HazardCo digital App and the desktop Hub. These digital systems are designed to make health and safety easy, simple and effective for all  HazardCo customers.  She also takes responsibility for monitoring the release of new legislation and guidelines and updating HazardCo’s systems and products to keep them in line with any relevant changes.

Providing advice and assisting HazardCo customers to manage incidents and accidents are two core functions of the HazardCo Advisory team. Not only is Evette continually up to speed with all current guidelines and legislation, but she also has practical experience in managing health and safety daily in a workplace, with on-site, remote, and mobile workers. 

Evette understands the residential construction sector well, the challenges builders and tradies face, and is able to assist a wide range of customers with creating a safer working environment and encouraging better health and safety practices using simple, yet effective tools.
