Rachel Lilley

Background
Rachel’s interest in workplace health and wellbeing started in 2000 while working as a physiotherapist within the onsite health team at BP in London. Her role involved physiotherapy treatment of the staff in addition to workplace education, including pain and discomfort management and prevention.
Since then, she has completed thousands of 1:1 workplace consultations. In doing so, Rachel has assisted workers to return to work after an injury or illness, helped them remain at work by optimising their comfort, and provided individualised education and advice to improve their productivity and wellbeing. She has also delivered consultations and educational workshops within a broad range of private businesses and government agencies.
Her involvement with both workers and management, individually and collectively, has improved the health and wellbeing of staff and contributed to improved productivity and reduced absenteeism. Rachel takes a holistic approach when working with all these people as she understands that wellness is multi-faceted.
Rachel has also delivered many group education sessions and presentations, including ‘Train-the-trainer’ training for businesses, and ‘moving and handling’ group and individual training.
As the National Vocational Services Manager at TBI Health, Rachel works with businesses to develop and deliver tailored worker wellbeing programmes across the country. This aspect of her work includes determining the specific needs of the business and their workers, developing a programme to meet their objectives, tracking outcomes and seeking feedback from staff and management.
