Background

I am an outcome-focused Health and Safety professional. An advocate of care before compliance, believing that health and safety should enable performance through good leadership, involving people and focusing on practical measures to protect people from harm and that all makes sense to them.

I am currently guiding Woods and those we work with to maintain good practice and ensure expertise is embedded into all our operations. The focus is on positive outcomes for people and working together. 

I believe strongly that work should be rewarding and uplifting, and a simple human error should not be the difference for someone between having good lives and livelihoods. If I have learnt one thing, it is the importance of integrating basic health and safety concepts and principles into the way we do things with an understanding that this contributes to great performance and service delivery.
