Background

With over 15 years experience working in the health, safety and environmental fields, I have plenty of knowledge and experience to implement change in the health and safety world. I have worked primarily in the civil construction and maintenance fields, but have also supported manufacturing, utilities and major projects.

I have held roles from "boots on the ground" HSE Adviser to National HSE Manager, and have contributed to and supported high level strategy development and delivery, across operational businesses and also within a National Support Centre/Head Office. I have a strong interest in using our operational experts to determine the best, and safest way to do things, and rely heavily on tools such as Learning Teams and Blueline investigations as ways of maintaining, developing and encouraging employee engagement.

I am a Certified Professional Member of the New Zealand Institute of Safety Management (NZISM)
