Sherry Johnston
Background
Currently operating her own Health and Safety and ACC Consulting business based in Wellington, Sherry has been providing information, training, auditing and advice to clients in this capacity for over 15 years. She is an Accredited SafePlus Assessor, and is approved by ACC to carry out audits for the ACC Accredited Employer Programme, and carries out Senior Auditor functions for ACC.
Sherry has been auditing, consulting and training for many years, and enjoys the opportunity to bring a practical and simple approach to the subjects of Health and Safety and ACC management. Her background and experience have provided her with a wide range of technical skills in the fields of occupational health, toxic substances, asbestos, noise, as well as detailed knowledge of confined spaces, machine safety, traffic and transport management.
Her previous roles included providing consulting and training advice on Health and Safety, ACC, and employment law, carrying out audits of OHS management systems and procedures, and assisting with development and implementation of new systems, while working for the Employers Association, a private accident insurer, as senior consultant at Aon Risk Services, and initially in an enforcement role in the Department of Health.
