Allie joined St John in July 2017 after 2 years as HSW manager in a NZ Government Crown Entity. Prior to her return to NZ in Late 2015 Allie was living and working internationally in Oil and Gas, major construction and allied health care environments. During this time Allie was responsible for implementing health and safety strategies to workforces of up to 7000 workers on a remote site, and ensuring the investigation and mitigation of hazards and risks to the site resulted in less harm to staff and a reduction of lost time injuries.
Allie has also assisted 2 national organisations to achieve AS/NZ 4801 accreditation through implementing and auditing the organisations health and safety management system to meet and/or exceed the requirements for accreditation.
Before embarking on a health and safety career, Allie spent approximately 15 years as a funeral director and embalmer in New Zealand and Western Australia where she managed or participated in programs and projects related to allied health care, emergency management, site investigation, remediation, and the bequest program at the University of Western Australia.
