Background
Originally from the UK - 25-year career in the Police Service, latterly with the Home Office and Association of Chief Police Officers on a National Intelligence Programme based in London; looking at information sharing and intelligence across the UK Police Service and the wider Intelligence Community.
Andrew’s career is based on comprehensive Strategic Planning, Risk Assessment, Task Analysis and Investigation, in both mission-critical, and potentially life-threatening situations. Andrew brings an objective viewpoint to Health & Safety. With a firm research based academic background, and considerable operational risk-based assessment experience, Andrew brings a fresh perspective to traditional working practices in the construction industry.
Andrew’s experience in legislative roles provides an understanding of the compliance framework, with a focus on sustainable outcomes in Health & Safety performance within organisational culture.
Continually striving for excellence resulted in organisational recognition in the New Zealand Demolition and Asbestos Association (NZDAA) Awards 2020 - Health & Safety Best Practice (Taggart).
