Background

I have worked across most industries and have expertise in:

•             taking a systems approach to identify and control risks
•             analysing and identifying risk factors associated with musculoskeletal injures
•             designing workplaces and work processes for optimal function
•             office workstation assessment and design
•             training businesses on risk assessment methods
•             incident investigation
•             research work

I have worked as an Ergonomist for the Health and Safety Executive (HSE) in the UK for 8 years and have done some consultancy work within New Zealand. I have also worked as a Generalist Health and Safety Advisor for a large NZ healthcare provider. I currently work as a Principal Advisor within the Human Factors/Ergonomics team which is part of the wider Health and Technical Delivery team at WorkSafe.
