Background
With experience of over 10 years, I started my career in Human Resources and Health & Safety in Wellington – across private, public and tertiary environments . I hold a Bachelor of Commerce & Administration, with First Class Honours, from Victoria University in Management and Human Resources, and a Graduate Diploma in Professional Practice, Occupational Health & Safety from Otago Polytechnic. This enables me to be a Graduate Member of NZISM.
In more recent years, due to my husband's work commitments, I have moved to more provincial areas, and my focus has moved from larger business HR and H&S to concentrating on smaller businesses predominantly in the agriculture, on hire labour and construction sectors. I love the opportunity to partner with a small business owner or a farmer and work together to come up with sound solutions based on good practice.
At present, I am promoting and working toward encouraging focus on occupational health in agriculture and construction.
