Background

Senior Health and Safety (H&S) Adviser with a focus on improving; H&S Management Systems, worker engagement participation and representation  practices, organisational awareness and education on H&S risk management and practical applications of H&S legislation. 
Current role with Kiwirail in providing H&S advise and support for the Wellington Metro Upgrade Programme of work, its project managers and physical works contractors. Main focus on construction and track upgrades. 
Previous H&S roles involved providing leaders and staff with risk management capabilities and tools through education, engagement and coaching, particularly in managing; psychosocial risk, contractors and infectious diseases.
As a people manager in previous roles my focus was on empowering people to reach their potential and achieve their goals through personal development plans, regular catch ups, positive and constructive encouragement, and by connecting and showing care towards towards them.
