Christine De Klerk
Background
Christine de Klerk, is a full member of the NZOHS and a Registered Occupational Hygienist with SAIOH (the Southern African Institute for Occupational Hygiene). She has been working as an occupational hygiene professional since 2012 and has experience in numerous workplace exposure assessments, including dusts, mineral fibers, fumes, gases, noise and ergonomics.
Christine has gained work experience in a variety of industry and business settings. She began her career at a South African Approved Inspection Authority (AIA) which mainly focused on services in the mining and excavating industry. After obtaining 2 years' experience in this field, she took on a more senior role at a different AIA, where she gained experience in other industries, including petrochemical, manufacturing, warehousing and freight industries. Christine has broadened her horizons to New Zealand where she worked in Auckland as an Occupational Hygiene Consultant, followed by overseeing an exposure monitoring project as an in-house occupational hygienist for Refining NZ in Northland.
