After gaining a Psychology Degree at Massey University, I went on to forge a career in Human Resources, before stumbling across Health and Safety. I have always been passionate about safety and interested in how different people approach risk, which meant this profession was the perfect fit for me. I am now a graduate member of the New Zealand Institute of Safety Management and have a diploma in Occupational Health and Safety.
I have been working in the field of Health and Safety for close to 12 years and have worked with a wide range of industries during this time. I especially enjoy coaching and training staff. My goal is to make health and safety simple and easy to understand and use.
My philosophy is that systems needs to be practical and easy to follow so that people actually use them and go home safely to their families at the end of the day. I am very passionate about keeping people safe at work.
I work with large and small businesses, as well as self employed workers.
Currently based in Marlborough, I have clients all over New Zealand and I regularly work with a large group of farmers in Canterbury. Professional development is a top priority and I regularly attend training courses to keep up with the many changes in Health and Safety Legislation.
