Background

I have been very fortunate to have spent the bulk of my nursing career working in primary care roles where I  feel I have been privileged to be able to support and get to know clients  in their own environments (more latterly their work environment).

I have a strong focus on holistic nursing through a totally proactive approach to health care. I have found that if you can give individual’s the support, knowledge and tools they need to make lifestyle changes, when and where necessary, more often than not they will embrace the challenge.

It is vitally important to me that my client’s see me as approachable and easy to relate to and that I in turn treat them as individuals with their own expectations and beliefs.

I am also very fortunate that through the various roles I have had over the years I now have an extremely strong connection with a wide range of other health professionals. This has ensured that if/when individual’s need more specialized care, I am able to refer on promptly or liaise with other providers to determine the best plan of action is implemented.
