Background
Kate founded StaySafe Handling in 2005 following her position as Safe Handling Advisor for Counties Manukau and Waitemata District health boards where she had assisted ACC with implementation of the Liten Up Patient handling Guidelines.
Since then StaySafe Handling has been providing injury prevention systems, workplace task analysis, and manual handling training programmes across a range of industries including healthcare, manufacturing, construction, logistics, corporates and hospitality.
Kate‘s extensive experience working with leading companies throughout New Zealand has led her to understand the need for consultation with your key stakeholders to identify your handling risks and to tailor an injury prevention programme that will to meet the unique requirements of your business and be effective and sustainable.
Kate is a registered Occupational Health Physiotherapist and has a Post Graduate certificate in Rehabilitation including and Moving and Handling and Vocational Rehabilitation.
She can assist your business with manual handling risk analysis and targeted injury prevention programmes, manual handling training programmes, patient moving and handling programmes, return to work and stay at work programmes for injured workers, discomfort assessments, and workstation assessments
She is also an experienced trainer in manual handling, patient handling and office ergonomics.
