Almi Bradfield-van Wyk

Background

I have over 10 years of experience in conducting Occupational Hygiene Services and I'm a full member of the New Zealand Occupational Hygiene Society (NZOHS), as well as a Registered Occupational Hygienist with SAIOH (the South African Institute for Occupational Hygiene).

I completed a Bachelor of Science degree in Environmental Management at the University of South Africa, after which I started working as an Occupational Hygiene Consultant while studying towards a Bachelor of Science Honours degree in Environmental Monitoring and Modelling, part time. I gained valuable experience in assisting workplaces to control health hazards associated with a wide variety of activities and occupational exposures. 

Since 2013, I have been in the field and active in many different types of working environments, identifying, assessing, evaluating and controlling hazards to the health and wellbeing of employees and worked with technicians, engineers and many different type of persons to find meaningful and practical ways of reducing worker exposures to occupational stress factors.

I believe that with passion and dedication, solutions are capable. I am passionate about assisting industries big and small to find innovative ways of improving conditions to protect worker’s health and find efficient ways that are practical to implement.
